Knome Hosts Charity Gala for Children’s Hospital Boston
On Friday, May 11, the Knome team hosted a black tie charity gala benefiting Children’s Hospital Boston. Hundreds of attendees gathered in the beautiful atrium right outside our offices here at the Davenport building in Cambridge.
We were honored to have Dr. George Church, co-founder of Knome, give an address discussing the rapid growth of the genomic industry over the last several years and what we can expect to come. Attendees were also excited by special guest appearances from Natalie Pietrzak (Miss Massachusetts, USA), Molly Whalen (Miss Massachusetts, America), Kelsey Beck (Miss Boston), and a jazz performance by Julianna Strout (Miss Rhode Island, 2009). Each of these talented women have spent many hours of their time volunteering with Children’s Hospital Boston.
“Thanks to generous donations from local businesses and our distinguished guests, we were able to raise several thousands of dollars for Children’s Hospital Boston, an organization we are proud to support,” noted Knome CEO, Dr. Martin Tolar. Knome is already looking forward to planning our next fundraiser gala.
